Sixth annual Seersucker Social scheduled for May 18

Old State House Museum - Thursday, April 27, 2017

It’s a party on the lawn at Old State House Museum for the sixth annual Seersucker Social, hosted by the museum’s 1836 Club.

The Seersucker Social will be from 6-8 p.m. on May 18. The event supports the efforts of the Old State House Museum, specifically the School Bus Fund, a grant program dedicated to bringing students from across the state to the museum to learn about Arkansas history.

Attendees will don their southern summer best — seersucker not required — and sip on mint juleps, the signature “Seersucker” cocktail, and other beverages while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and playing lawn games on the grounds of the Old State House Museum.

The 1836 Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the Old State House Museum and its programs.
